Office of Catholic Schools

As I step into the role of Superintendent of Catholic Schools, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and excitement for the journey ahead knowing the profound responsibility it carries and the incredible opportunities it presents.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Office of Catholic Schools (OCS) website for the Diocese of Richmond. I’m thrilled to have you here as we share the wonderful world of Catholic education within our diocese. Our community spans across a vast region, encompassing 30 dynamic schools committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and fostering compassionate leadership rooted in Christ’s teachings. As the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, it is my honor and privilege to serve our community of educators, students, parents, parishioners, alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.

Our mission at the OCS is to foster academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the development of compassionate leaders grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. We are committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive, where principals and teachers are supported and empowered, and where the values of our faith are woven into the fabric of everyday learning.

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in the Diocese of Richmond’s Catholic schools. Together, we can continue to nurture the minds and spirits of our students, preparing them to be faithful, knowledgeable, and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.

In Christ,

Michael Riley, Ed.D.
