How to Apply

Your child deserves a Catholic education and we are here to support you in providing one.

Each school has their own admissions process and timeline. This information provides an overview of what to expect along the way. We encourage you to contact the schools directly to learn more.

Our 30 Catholic schools are located in Bristol, Danville, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Petersburg, and the greater Virginia Beach and Richmond areas.  Visit the online School Locator to find a school near you.

There are other resources available to learn about the schools in your community:

  • Talk to current families & alumni

After you inquire to the school directly, someone from the Enrollment office at the school will contact you and invite you to tour the school. During the campus tour, you will be able to see:

  • Classrooms
  • Lunchroom
  • Library
  • Students (if school is in session)

We invite you to visit the school campus and see the classrooms live. This is a great opportunity to learn about the school culture and ask questions!

Once you find the right school for you and your child, complete an application form and submit it to the school. Most schools open applications in October for the following school year. Be sure to apply early as spaces have been filling fast!

Here is an example of what to expect when you apply to one of our schools:

  • Create a FACTS account.
  • Complete the application, provide required documentation, and pay the application fee.
  • Required documents include Birth Certificate, Physical and Immunization records, Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic), prior school records including testing results, IEP’s (if applicable), etc.
  • Schools may request teacher recommendations
  • Assessments to learn more about your child’s leaning needs.
  • Classroom visits may vary by grade level
  • Apply for tuition support through FACTS Grant & Aid.

You will also be able to apply for tuition assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid. Families are encouraged to apply by March 1 to be considered for all available support. Learn more about how to afford a Catholic education for your child.

Now that you’ve submitted the application, your child  may be scheduled for an assessment, classroom visit or interview depending on your student’s grade level. This assists us in learning more about your child and his/her learning needs.

You will receive a call, email or letter with the good news of your child’s acceptance and the next steps to enroll. They will also notify you if space is not currently available or acceptance cannot be offered at this time. Keep in touch with the school enrollment team to get updates and share your enrollment decisions.

Congratulations! You received your child’s acceptance and are ready to enroll. Most schools offer Online Enrollment to streamline the process. You will receive a link and information to accept the enrollment contract and provide any required information or documents.

While this may be the end of the admissions process, it is the beginning of our partnership to support your child and family. Thank you for sharing your greatest blessing with us. Time to celebrate and share the great news with family and friends.
