Office of Catholic Schools

I am so grateful for
the many ways in which
our schools provide an
academically rigorous environment that is permeated with
our catholic faith.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 23-24 school year across the Diocese of Richmond!

I am Dr. Jennifer Bigelow and am serving as the Interim Superintendent this year. I have been in Catholic education for more than 23 years and I am grateful to be serving in this role.

This is an exciting time to be leading our schools. Across the Diocese, we have robust enrollment, facility improvements, and a dedicated group of administrators, teachers, and staff who are excited to welcome students and their families in the coming days.

It is also an exciting time for our Church. World Youth Day just concluded in Portugal and we are in the midst of a Eucharistic Revival across our country. These are just a few reminders of how God is calling us closer to Him. And we know that this happens each and every day in our Catholic schools. I am so grateful for the many ways in which our schools provide an academically rigorous environment that is permeated with our Catholic faith.

At World Youth Day, Pope Francis said to those gathered: “Dear Young People, God sees how good you are. He knows what he has sown in your hearts. Let it grow.”

So let this 23-24 school year be one of growth in our faith, in our knowledge, and in our goodness. May God bless you!

In Christ,

Jennifer Bigelow, Ed.D.
Interim Superintendent of Schools
